At different stages in our lives our goals change. I look back at younger me and the lofty goals I had for my days and don't regret them. Not saying I don't have one hundred and seven things to do in a day now but I sure have A Lot more PEACE about what I get done and what I don't most days. Ever have one of those weeks??? Where every step forward seems like it's followed by 2 steps sideways or worse back 😩. I see you..........we all find ourselves there sometimes and it's easy to want to say "to hell with it" and quit. That's just not the cowgirl way though lol. We are way too stubborn to admit defeat. 🤨 But wait, there is another lesson to be learned in that space if you pay attention. James 1:2-4 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." All Grit, No Quit is something we learn. How are we to learn it without challenges? If your troubles are great that means God has BIG plans for you. Keep going cowgirl 🫶🤠

I am a control freak and will put ALL the things on my plate! Who's with me?!? 🙋🏼‍♀️ It is a constant journey to remember that when I over load my plate in the attempt to do it all and I'm stressed and about to snap. If I STOP AND PRAY IN PLACE OF THE SNAP he gives me the answer and immediately I feel more at peace. It doesn't mean the trouble goes away but often times for me he reminds me to ask for help or puts what I'm stressing about in perspective. It's just enough to allow me to step back and take a deep breath. John 16:33 (NIV):

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

So we have a very non traditional "horse trainer situation" going on at this season of my life and I thank God for it! The horse show is only 45 min from the house this weekend so I get to go back and forth and I got to drop lil man off @ school before heading to the horse show to work today. This small step back (or I should say step back into) the industry has allowed me a pretty unique perspective on some things. 1. The struggle to show up fully in our career and be competitive AND show up fully and be present with our families is very prevalent . 2. Too often giving up space/time at home in favor of doing what the "farm" needs at the moment has become expected as the norm. 3. No one really talks about it openly/publicly in favor of putting on the "I have it all together" face for the world to see. We all find our own way to figure it all out and do the best we can. .....But what if we did talk about those ways we got it figured out? Would we end up helping each other and those coming up behind us find a better way to juggle the farm/family balance? Or at least give them hope that they are not alone and it is possible. Galatians 6:2 – “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” (Parenting is one of those burdens we can help each other with.). Just food for thought this morning.

I don't know who needs to hear this but....I have found that either in working with the animals we care for on the daily basis or in the chaotic moments of motherhood neither the kids nor the horses care if we are perfect or if we have all the right answers right away. What they hold onto and have trust in is that we are there trying and we care for them. So in those quiet moments that you find yourself doubt sneaking in to worry you. Don't! Just Don't let it. We spent our Sunday with my folks on their farm. Banks loved spending time with his pony and my mom n Dad. Aka Nani n Pops. Prioritizing times like this is one of the many changes that I have found make me feel more aligned with not only family but purpose in life. This makes me soooo much more productive with my purpose in work the rest of the week.
